B the Change Native Plants & Landscape Designs designs landscapes, grows, and sells native plant selections sourced ethically from Florida's own wild places — so your yard can feed the birds and butterflies, shrug off droughts, and still look beautiful doing it.
Florida natives evolved alongside our sandy soils, summer downpours, and dry winters — which means once they're established, they need less water, less fertilizer, and less fuss than the imports lining most garden centers. They also happen to be the only thing our local butterflies, bees, and birds actually recognize as food and shelter.
Every plant we offer and every design we render is chosen for where it's going: the soil, the sun, the wind off the water. We're not interested in a landscape that fights Florida — we want one that belongs to it.
From a single native milkweed purchase to a full backyard redesign.

“B The Change you want to see in the World — and plant NATIVE!”
B the Change started from a simple idea: a garden should give something back — to the pollinators, the birds, the water table, not just the eye. We hand-select every plant we grow and every species we recommend, with an emphasis on what's actually native to South Florida's ecosystems. Whether you're starting from a blank yard or want to slowly convert one bed at a time, we'll meet you where you are.

Open Plant List →I love having a native plant nursery the Treasure Coast! The plant sign details help select the right plants for the right place and Carly is knowledgeable if customers have questions. She packs great plant options into a small space and if you can't find what you are looking for she is very good at trying to find it!
Before B the Change transformed my backyard into an oasis for bees and butterflies, it was nothing but stones and weeds. Carly was a pleasure to work with. She is knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. She and her team were punctual, neat and left my yard looking more beautiful than I could have imagined. Just looking out the window at the native plants brings me joy. I would highly recommend B the Change.
Let me tell you the secret to a beautiful, native backyard that welcomes birds, butterflies and a host of insects for them to feed on. Hire Carly Batts of “BE THE CHANGE”. I was fortunate enough to meet Carly at an Audubon event in Stuart several years ago. I was looking for someone who could give me guidance on transforming our backyard into a natural habitat that would be pleasing to the eye and be beneficial to the local birds and butterflies. Carly more than fills the bill. I have never met anyone as knowledgeable about plants, birds, and butterflies as is Carly. Now, our backyard is a busy place and beautiful to look at. Besides that, her enthusiasm is contagious. Now, I can't stop adding things to the yard. I still regularly seek advice from her, and she never disappoints. BE THE CHANGE is a game changer! And what a fun and pleasant person to be around! My wife and I are so impressed with Carly and we highly recommend her!
